The Nordic Heritage Festival is an annual event hosted by PLU's Scandinavian Cultural Center, now in its 48th year. The festival celebrates Nordic culture through artisans, vendors, performers, and authentic food. Features include Norwegian café fare (pea soup, rømmegrøt), craft demonstrations such as rosemaling, Hardanger embroidery, spinning, and woodcarving, live musical entertainment, and booths from local Norwegian lodges. Runs 11 AM to 4 PM. PLU has deep Scandinavian roots as a university founded by Norwegian Lutheran immigrants.
