Midsommardagen

Annual Swedish Midsummer celebration at Gammelgarden Museum of Scandia, an open-air museum founded in 1972 devoted to Swedish immigrant heritage. Events include raising of the Majstang (Midsummer pole) at 1pm, folk music by the ASI Cloudberries women's chorus, folk dancing by the Vasa Junior Folk Dancers, flower crown making, scavenger hunts, and children's activities. The museum features historic buildings including an 1855 Immigrant House and 1856 Lutheran church.
